Problems in recording in DV

I have recorded some scenes in Lapland (16:9) over a Christmas movie (4:3) recorded two years ago.
However, whilst many scenes were OK, i.e. the previous Christmas part of the movie were erased and replaced by the Lapland ones, some other scenes were not properly recorded. The result is a mix of Christmas and Lapland scenes which come in intercalated strips. It seems that the 16:9 Lapland not well recorded scenes are there (by analysing a few frames) but are spread over the 4:3 ecran with the Christmas bars. Is there any way of recovering the so much wished scenes from the beatiful white (and rather freezing) Lapland? Any software?Many thanks in advance.
