exporting slide show

Post by jamcrky »

Hello everyone...I had posted this once before but never got a response, so let me try one more time... :D :D

I created a slide show with music, and according to the help menu and the folks at ulead tech I should be able to export, and will open on ulead explorer program for other users intact as I created it.

When i packaged it (as instructed by the help menu) and send to myself I can only open on my default brower (internet explorer)...
does not open my ulead explorer as I expected.

Does anyone have any insight on this problem, would really apprec as this old guy is getting very tire. trying for days.

Thanks in advance for all the feedback Jim

It is not clear what you are trying to do - create a package or export in webpage (html) format.
1) The create package command just appears to put all the picture and music files of the slideshow plus the slideshow (*ues) file in a single folder which can be sent to someone else who presumably must have Pex to play it.
2) If you are exporting in webpage format the recipient will open it in their web browser - Internet Explorer, Firefox or whatever.

With (1) music files attached or embedded in a picture plus music placed in the sound line will play OK. With (2) the Help file in PEX states "Music and video files cannot be used when outputting a Web slideshow" so you might not be able to send the music.

I am not that familiar with exporting or creating slideshows in Pex but have just experimented with (1) & (2). Had no problem with (1) but could not export music with (2) as the Help indicated. Nor could I get a music file to play when I assigned one under Page Features in accordance with Help but I might be missing something.
