I just got a "welcome Ulead/Intervideo to Corel!" email from their CEO,
with a survey and discount link to buy products...
but on the Corel products page, and in the email, the only "current" Ulead products are :
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 6109127456
VideoStudio 10/10+, DVDMF 6/6+, and PhotoImpact12.
There is NO mention of MSPro or DVDWS at all.
This is extremely disappointing as it seems to indicate abandonment of these excellent "pro" products for the low-end consumer versions.
While those versions do seem to steadily improve both technology and features, they simply cannot ever match the full features, power and workflow of the pro products- which is why we shelled out the $$$ in the first place to buy them.
I strongly fear we will never get proper HDV scene/m2t support in Ulead, nor 16:9 etc in DVDWS, not Vista support for either.
I've tried the now-available trial DVDMF6+ hoping it would have some fixes for the HDV with "PureHD capture" etc, and it's horrible, worse workflow/advanced features than VideoStudio (I can't even name my stupid capture clips, and doesn't even seem to have split-scene-by content, UI is very wierd/awkward etc.)
I filled out a few times in the survey that I strongly wish the Pro products continue to be supported, but... sigh.
Meanwhile, at least HDVSplit canon-patch seems to be working for scene-split HDV capture...
MSPro/DVDWS left behind after Corel acquisition?
