I think it's because when you put the order to Ulead the new DVDMF 4 is still not released yet, but I think you might get an free replacement for DVDMF 4 because you just bought it not too long ago?

Have you even gotten customer service to respond? I've sent off 2 emails - basically in the same situation and yet to heard anything. Considering the lack of response from ULead I would seriously NOT consider purchasing any further products from this company - and would steer my friends away also.

I called them and by providing them with an electronic copy of my purchase receipt of MF3, they gave me a free download update to MF4. Of course, I heard about MF4 only 3 days after placing my order and before I even received the box from UPS. MF4 often won't burn DVDs, so I use Nero for that, and today it refused to create DVD folders, so I don't know what that means. But overall, MF4 is better than MF3. Unless it continues to not create DVD folders.

I have to agree with acuteparanoia, I also purchased version 3 a short time back, 2 e-mails later, each time I sent them a copy of my electronic receipt, and I am still waiting for a reply.

It would have been appreciated if I had been warned about the pending release as I would have held off, but it seems that Ulead are quick to take your money but forget about support.
