Save to mpg format -HELP!! 911

How do I save my .vsp file to a .mpg format? I took the project in as .mpg, but I can't seem to save it to anything but .vsp and I need .mpg. Help! I'm desparate to get this project out tonight!!! Thank you so much!

I fyou intend to burn it to a DVD, then after you finish editing, click on Share > Create Video File > DVD. This will produce an DVD compatible mpeg-2.

If you are after an mpeg-2 which is not necessarily DVD compatible, then use Share > Create Video File > mpeg-2.

Essentially, the vsp is just the "holder" of all the details of your project - clips, titles, effects, etc. You use the Share tab to render to whatever format you wish - mpg, wmv, mpeg4, etc.
