tWEAK AND FIT
My original DVD Movie Factory 5 had a disc tool called "Fit to Disk". It began to give me a disc error when I tried to use it. The program would flash and all work would be lost. The upgrade has removed it and I cannot find it in the new menu. Is it no longer available and is there another way to accomplish what it did? It sure was handy.
You can use a Bitrate Calculator to find the correct bitrate for your program playing-time and audio format.
Or, you can "burn" the the too-large project to your hard drive (Create DVD Folders), use DVDshrink (FREE!!!) to make perfect-size VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, and then you can copy those folders to an actual DVD.
It's a lot of extra steps, and DVDshrink can be hard to find because it has some features that vilolate the DMCA here in the USA. However, DVDshrink is a really handy tool to have in your software toolbox.

Steve pointed out that if you proceed all the way to the burning module and if the video is over the project size still click on the burn Icon.
You should receive a message saying to large and do you want MF to resize the video (tweak & fit).
It was in MF5 and is also in MF6.
So thats' where Tweak & Fit is at.
Variable Bit Rate:Single Layer DVD
((4000 / sec's) * 8000) = Total_Bit_Rate (Max Average) expressed in kbps.

Please clarify about Tweak and Fit.
In DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator there is a Tweak and Fit module to let you do DVD shrinking just like DVD Shrink, however it could only shrink home-made DVDs (source: home-made DVD, output: shrinked and burned DVD disk/image). It's a little different with the Fit to Disc feature in DVD MovieFactory's Create DVD module. The Fit to Disc feature will try to adjust the DVDMF project size to match the specified disc size (source: video files in the project, output: DVD disk/image).
Which one are you referring to? The Tweat and Fit module, or the Fit to Disc feature?
The Tweak and Fit module was removed and replaced by InterVideo DVD Copy 4 Silver in DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus. In DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus, you could still see InterVideo DVD Copy 5 Sliver as bundled component.
Hope this helps.
