windvd7 won't play dvds

Post by telstra111 »

When I click play, the dvd drive is accessed (lights blink a few times) but nothing happens. I have tried both my dvd drives. Tried rebooting. Tried different discs. Also the dvds play just fine through windows media player and media player classic. What's going on? I'm running XP with 2 gigs of ram on a dual core system.

So I guess I should just uninstall it and buy something else then?

I guess it does not recognize your DVD.

What kind of DVD it is?

Tried that, but it made no difference. Is there are troubleshooting procedure or anything to make this happen? It's just lame when I know DVD playback works fine on my system but Windvd needs some kind of special treatment just to work.

Has windvd 7 worked on your system before?

If so, had you enable Tridimension DNM in display?

I have never installed it before nor any other software dvd player.

That not all that true

These are dvd software players. Windvd from experience likes to be the only decoder in the system.

If you want to use Windvd7 unistall it, uninstall Media player classic or any other player that can decode Mpeg2. then install windvd 7.
