Video stuck in fast forward normal sound

Post by fwallace68 »

I get this from time to time, my recorded shows when edited or not edited when put on a VCD will play like its being fast forwarded but the sound is normal. I use Beyond TV for my capture software with the Haupauge card, and I use MF4 to edit and burn the disk. Im trying to figure out if its MF,Beyond, or the computer. I have a A64,Raid drives, and over a gig of memory. There is something I have seen that makes me think the problem could be in the captured video. If I watch the captured video and I see that it is a little choppy then when I put it on a VCD I have the result of a fast moving video. This sounds strange I know but I have typed it as accurate as I can.

I think the video codec used by the capture software might be the problem.

What Hauppauge card do you use? Have you tried to capture it in DVD MovieFactory? Or have you tried to use another capture software to capture?

Hope this helps.

I use Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250. I have not had this concern before but
it is happening more often. I changed some settings in Beyond this
morning, set up some recordings throughout the day so I could burn them tonight and see if a lesser quality picture would make a difference.

Have you installed any other video codec packs or video-related softwares recently?
