Running line and cut outs

Post by libby »

Thank you I will give the running line another try.

Now to another problems that appears from time to time - cut outs ie the whole program (VS 10+) shuts down to the desk top. I have a pentium 4 with 2 gig ram and DDR2 256MB graphics card (XFX). This has occurred with VS8,9 and now 10 so I now save every 30 seconds. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Hi Libby

Send your two map images to me at the e-mail link below.

One of the maps should contain the coloured line.

I don¡¦t understand about the two start points being two directions.
Explain on the e-mail

What do you have your Auto Save set for (it's under Preferences)? Some have linked their lockups/shutdowns to this feature. Try changing it to the max of 60 minutes and see if that helps. (I would still save the project periodically.)

Running line on a map

Post by laurentje »

The proposed solutions work only for a specific direction of the route, not for a circular tour.
I am using for this ITIN16 (freeware soft). See examples on http://home.euphonynet.be/roland_marianne

All videos are done with VS10+ ( :D ), except the parts with the maps with the running line.

Thanks for the reference to Itin16. The only version of it I can find is in French, and it does not appear to have an English version. Fortunately, I speak French, so this presents no problems for me. But it might cause problems for other users who are not francophone.

The author also notes there are 'anomalies' which he does not specify. Did you encounter any problems using it?

Sorry for the delay in replying, You can change direction using Video Studio, it does however involve a little extra work.
But it is possible.
See my ¡¥Road Map¡¦ guide from the link below.

I have not tried the Itin16 program, the French version being restrictive, at least for me.
And therefore do not know what is involved in creating the moving path.
