Record on hard disk DVD compatible format problems
I have created a video proyect with VS+10 plus with a file size of 6,4 GB and desire to record it in the hard disk in DVD compatible format, to write then the movie in the DVD burner. The problem is that, when I use the option Share/Create Disc, selecting in the left inferior corner DVD 8,5 G, I don't get that the movie is completely writed to the hard disc, I am always cut the last VOB when the total size or the movie in the hard disk arrives to 4 Gb. I have a dual layer recorder in the computer, but it seems that VS doesn't want to work with this type of DVD files. Does it have any solution? Thank you

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
I do not use Duel Layer discs, but can only assume they are no different to Single Layer except they hold more data.
When you said 4 Gb, my first reaction is your operating system, What is your filing system Fat 32 or NTFS?
Fat 32 has a 4 Gb file limit.
Assuming you have NTFS
Can you confirm that you are creating a video file first.
Then Add Video in Share-Create Disc
As indicated here:-

Hope this Helps
PS please fill in your pc spec¡¦ in your profile section.

Record on hard disk DVD compatible format problems
Sorry, I forgot to say that the format of recording of the resulting movie is DVD video,so each VOB file is written with a maximum size of 1.nnn.nnn Kb. In all ways, the system of files is FAT 32.
The movie project is believed starting from video residents' files in the hard disk, coming from capture of TV images. These files are processed in VS+ and they are tried to record as DVD video format in the hard disk, then to pass them to DVD.

Hi
From the comments made, your problem is associated with your pc¡¦s filing system being Fat 32.
As I see it , you have two options.
1 / change your filing system to Ntfs.
2 / If you work with Fat 32 then keep individual video files below 4 Gb.
Render your project to DVD (Mpeg 2) (Share-Create Video File)
Keep each video below 4 Gb ( you may have to reduce the bit rate in order to achieve this)
As you are using Dual Layer you should be able to add two separate 4 Gb files.
Even though there is a Fat 32 limit it should work, I think.
Please update your profile to include your pc system spec¡¦
As Daniel said the Vob files are created last, these are not the problem but the files created earlier, temporary or otherwise.
I am surprised that you do not receive a warning from windows when the Fat 32 limit is reached????????????
Hope this Helps
