These types of problems are usually caused by a bad source video, or by a "strange" highly compressed format. These formats are really just designed to be watched on your computer. They can potentially cause all kinds of trouble if you try to edit or convert them. What format are your files, and where did they come from? The Read This First... post tells you what we need to know to help you.

If they are all DivX files, you may need to look for some special DivX software. SVCD 2 DVD (~$40 USD) claims to be able to make a DVD from almost anything. Or, you can try using a 3rd-party program like SUPER (FREE!!!) to convert the file to DVD compatible MPEG-2 before bringing it into Workshop.

Also, you should be aware that there will always be some quality loss when converting from one lossy compresion scheme (DivX/MPEG-4) to a different lossy compression scheme (DVD/MPEG-2).
2- i cant burn any video they have to be in (DivX?6.5.1 Codec (1 Logical CPU)) and sound mpeg-layer 3 but like i said if i put them on dvd i have 2 sec of sounds.
You are not trying to make a DivX DVD are you? You can copy the DivX file directly onto a DVD as-is with any burning software. (You don't need DVD authoring software for that.) You can play that DVD on a computer with a DivX codec, and on some DVD players, but it will be a non-compliant DVD, and most stand-alone players won't play it.
3- last but not least when i extract dvd scenen they alwayz put them at 1,3 gig is there a way to play with the size
The file size is determined by the bitrate (audio & video combined) and the playing time. (Bitrate is kilobits per second, and this can be scaled-up to Gigabytes per hour.) 1.3GB is probably about right for a DivX movie, but that's way too small for a DVD (MPEG-2) movie which should approximately fill-up a 4.3 GB single-sided DVD (depending on the bitrate). Here's a Bitrate Calculator.

If they must be MPEG-4(avi) DivX, then they can not be put on a DVD in that format. DVD specs must be MPEG-2. The only other option that I know, is to purchase DivX Author. It allows you to create menus, so that it will play on a DivX certified DVD player, just like a traditional DVD.

You can burn your DivX video files to a DVD, however they will only play on a DVD player that says it can play DivX. AFAIK, none of Intervideo-Ulead's applications can build DivX menus, so creating a DVD (building menus) is not possible.

Your working file looks like PAL (Europe, etc.) 25FPS @ 512x384.

The non-working file looks like NTSC (USA, etc.) 29.97 FPS @ 720x480

But, that alone should not prevent you from making an NTSC or PAL DVD, and it does not explain the audio issues. :?
is there any other software like dws...
Of course there are alternatives, starting with Ulead Movie Factory, which is more up-to-date than Workshop, designed to work with DivX files, and less expensive than Workshop! You can also try Roxio, Nero, Sony, Adobe, or just search the Net for "DVD authoring software".

But, since there are many variations of every video format, you won't know if a particular program works with your particular files until you try it. The best solution is to avoid these highly-compressed formats altogether... or, just watch them on your computer.

There are variations of MPEG-2 also. Some of those variations are valid for PAL DVDs, and other variations are valid for NTSC DVDs. Some are not DVD compatible at all! And, an MPEG-2 A/V file can contain various audio formats. Again, some audio formats are DVD compatible and some are not... MP3 (AKA MPEG-1 layer-3) is not DVD compatible.

I don't know much about the ImToo DVD Ripper, but I would expect a "DVD Ripper" to convert from DVD to DivX (or some other format). I wouldn't expect it to convert to DVD from some other format... :?
