Difference bet Cool 3D Studio and Cool 3D Production Studio

What is the difference between Cool 3D Studio and Cool 3D Production Studio? A friend of mine has the former and I don't see it on the web site.

No difference. Cool 3D Studio was initially the name of the product, but it was changed to Cool 3D Production Studio shortly after release. I'm not sure why.

I remember I have mentioned the reason in this forum before, but I cannot find it now.

The reason is because the owner of 3D Studio MAX, discreet (now owned by Autodesk), is not happy.

so u mean iowned cool 3d studio is same as cool 3d prod studio?no need to install cool 3d prod studiio la..

Yes, they are the same product. However, if your C3DS is v1.0, you need to install an update pack so it would be v1.01.

C3DPS is v1.01.
