Hello,
I want to capture videos from my camcorder, and I think the best format is the MPEG 2. In the options is only MPEG-1 available. What do I have to install, to use also MPEG-2?
What are the best settings for storing my recordings with high quality?
bye, goliath
no MPEG 2 available in VS 8

You almost undoubtedly have a version of VS8 with the letters 'SE' and possibly also 'Basic' after it. If so, it is a crippled version which cannot deal with mpeg-2 nor burn a DVD -- only a VCD which uses mpeg-1.
That sort of crippled program is distributed free usually with hardware.
Your only option is to upgrade to a more recent version. But you need to be aware that a new version 11 is soon to be released (though we have no dates).
