Is color correction possible?

Most photo processing software available today has features that allow you to do some sort of automatic color correction on old photos. Is there anything available that will do a similar function for videos? I have some old 16mm films that I have converted to VHS and DVD and the color on some of the films has either faded or been distorted. I would like to be able to do some correction on these films at some point. I know that the capture tools have some provisions for manually adjusting the color balance but I haven't been able to get good results doing it manually.

Sure. The Effects tab has numerous filters to adjust colors, hues, brightness etc.
