VS Movie Wizard 8.0 template problem

Post by raserei »

I'm using Video Studio Movie Wizard 8.0. I have added the clips I wanted on my project and then I'm taken to a drop down menu to select my template. However, the only template available is "Celebration". I cannot figure out how to load or find other templates. According to the product manual, they should all be listed in the drop down menu.

Can anyone advise??

Thanks so much!![/b]

Do you have the Full version, or an SE, which comes bundle with some piece of hardware? Did you purchase the Boxed or ESD(download)?

If you purchased the boxed version then the Extra Content files are generally on the 2nd CD. The ESD versions are delivered via email links. There should have been more then 1 link to download. However since VS8 is now just about 3 versions old, I don't know where you could get a link for the Extra Content. If you registered it with Ulead, then maybe you could contact Element 5 and see if they could help.

I received the software with a firewire purchase. It is an SE version.

I was figuring that might be the problem, but the instructions didn't mention anything about the templates only being available on the FULL version.

I guess my next question would be, do you know of a way to avoid putting a template in?? The only template they offer isn't relevant to my video. But there isn't a "none" option in the drop down menu.

Basically I'm just trying to string a few video clips together to send to family. Nothing fancy or professional.

You should use the editor instead of the wizard. Gives you more flexibility and control anyway. See the User's Manual for details.
