Fix: Import DVD (VOB) Files DMF/VS/MSP
Replacing the *.dll worked partially for me. Thanks.
MF5+ and MF6+ will import without barfing.. BUT, MSP8/MF4 still times out and returns to a locked MSP8. Also locks the DVD drive.
Of course MSP is the real program of concern as it is the starting point to create a movie from DVDs.
'Looks like a wholesale removal of MSP8 and re-installation my be in order.. with no guarantee of proper operation.
How do I hate Windoze? Let me count the ways!!!!!! 1001, 2002....
One can work days, weeks and months without learning a dang thing trying to untrash the system.

OK Steve,
Thta's the one I used to fix MF5 and MF6. However, MSP8/MF4 still times out and hangs MSP8. No indication of the problem, of course.
There are some programs that "Rode In" with MF5 and/or MF6 that may be causing trouble. DIVX things. Particularly, a DIVX encoder... I will remove these as they are superfluos to other programs and check again.
If no luck there, I may have to go through the un-install, re-install of MSP8.
Thanks,
Ray

Any other suggestion?
Maybe I have to leave this HD format because it looks like I need a very powerfull PC. Maybe I should start another topic, but ...
Thx for all suggestions,
Johann

I have encountered the following error while trying to play HDV and AVCHD files : APP CRASH, EXPLORER.exe. APP VERSION 6.0.6000.16386.
FAULT MODULE NAME: H264DecHPD.ll.dll.
I downloaded and extracted that Microsoft Live file but I still have the problem. I am not even opening my Corel programs (MF 6 HD & X2). I notice a "6.0" in the APP VERSION...related to MF 6? What can I do to
fix this and get back to normal?

Did you mean h264vdechpdll.dllmarkguitre wrote:.....FAULT MODULE NAME: H264DecHPD.ll.dll. ......
If the file I supplied does not work, then do as I did, search your hard drive for all occurrences of the faulty file and try each one in turn.
Make sure you back up the original file first so that you can put it back to the way it was.
