MSP7/MSP8/VS9/VS10+/DMF2/DMF4/DMF5/DMF5+
I had no problems importing DVD (VOB) files.
After installing DVD MovieFactory 6+ I noticed that neither DVD MovieFactory 6+ or any of the above mentioned files would import DVD files any longer.
I checked the Windows XP error Messages which revealed
I used the Windows XP Search tool and discovered that I had 4 copies ofFaulting application dvdmf.exe, version 4.0.0.0, faulting module h264vdechpdll.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00073a38.
h264vdechpdll.dll installed on the computer.
One file had a file size of 413 kb and a file date of 01/08/2005
The other 3 files were 689 kb. One had a file date of 20/12/2006
the remaining two had a file date of 18/01/2007.
I renamed the 3 files with a file size of 689kb to h264vdechpdll.old and ten copied the remaining file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\MPEG
This cured the problem and I am now able to import DVD files from all of my Ulead programs.
Edited 15Aug2007:
Due to problems with Filewind and also MediaMax here is an alternative link
H264VDecHPDll.dll
Tip:
To rename the existing files, do so from the search results page:

EDIT 02Aug2009.
Hopefully this link will not expire - it is on Windows Live (Microsoft)
