No this is fine, just didn't know if you were aware of the time lag. Some times when someone gets their problem resolved they may not return to the forum.
First are you also using Nvidia? If so try going to their website, locate, download and install the latest upgrade for your particular video card.
Next have you updated to the most current DirectX for your system? For XP you should install the Nov'07 update found on Microsoft's website.
ADSTech VideoXpress CapWiz problem

I seem to have a similar problem as described in this thread. I have an ADSTech VideoXpress USB device, similar to the DVDVideoXpress. I have installed the VideoXpress CD Ver2.2 disc on both my laptop and desk top, both Windows XP, and neither of them will run the CapWiz software. The disc also containes muvee6 autoProducer and Instant VideoXpress which both work o.k.
Reinstalling makes no difference. Clicking on the CapWiz Icon gives the message DV0001 Unable to initiate USB device etc appears but after stepping through the instalation wizard I do get the Capture Wizard screen. Clicking Record or Preview gets the message CW0005 Unable to detect USB Capture Device. I have sent an e-mail to the ADSTech Help Desk but have had nothing from them.
I have been struggling with this problem for some time so you can imagine how pleased I was to find this forum and this particular thread. Unfortunately I don't quite follow the description of the solution. Would somebody be so kind as to walk me through it step by step.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
