Vista update U32Cfg error.

Post by millerdp070 »

I wondering if anyone other Vista users have been getting U32Cfg errors when Vista starts. I've given up trying to resolve the problem with the UL service department as I can't reply to their recommended fixs because the embeded reply buttons on their emails don't work on Outlook 2007! Perhaps don't work on any email program??? Regardless, after several attemts to fix the problem I'm turning to the forum for support.

've installed VS10 tbyb (purchased and registered) and SP1 (yes the tbyb). Program works correctly after system reboot. No U32Cfg error when starting computer or VS10.

I then install Vista update. Now I get a U32Cfg error when the computer is started. VS10 will start without any apparent error, but I suspect I'm running at some reduced capacity as some component was terminated (U32Cfg error) when I stated the computer. I checked my registry for any ulead startup preload programs and couldn't find anything.

Can anyone explain what is causing this problem or explain if it's impacting VS10 or my computer in a negative way?

Thanks

Dave

This error occurs on trial versions where the 30 day limit protection has become corrupted either on purpose by an attempt to circumvent the 30 day limit or inadvertently perhaps by the computer date being wrong (perhaps you turned off the computer but have a flat motherboard battery).

Sorry but your out of luck unless you wish to go the the extreme measures of reformatting your hard drive and then reinstalling your windows operating system.
