Motion Thumbnails in VS8 & custom menus

Post by mowens »

Hi y'all!

I have been using Pinnacle Studio for a while now and am trialling VS. I find it a lot easier to use and it's not as memory draining, but one feature I would like to be able to find/use is when constructing the chapter/menu pages in "SHARE" mode, how do I make the thumbnails have motion - like mini movies on the menu page?

Pinnacle has a small tick box. Is there something I'm overlooking in VS8?

On a separate issue, it seems that in order to make your own menus, you need PhotoImpact. Has anyone found a more convenient mehod?

Thank you!

1.
Sorry, but you can not create motion menu in VS8.
But I think VS9 will add this feature.

2.
All the tmeplate menu file is *.ufo, and it is the file format for PhotoImpact.
So you can not edit it only if you have install PhotoImpact. ^_^

For DVD authoring, you might want to try the new Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4, which is been released a few days ago and can let you edit DVD menus more creatively.

Hope this helps.
