VS8 Initialesed on start-up ??

I have used VS8 for several months now, and was starting to feel proficient with it.
However when I started the program yesterday the main screen came up but with a 0 - 100% bar (same as the rendering bar). It took about 4 minutes to go to 100% and then the program started.
When I then opened an existing project (VSP file) it could not find the original captured mpeg and also various images, all of which I had to relink.
The project was fine when re-linked and allowed me to work further on it.
Does anyone know why it did this "initialisation" (my word for it). I can't find any reason why it did it or how to stop it happening again.

You don't tell us where you are - but can I guess that you changed to "Daylight Saving Time" yesterday. It was one of the odd quirks of version 8 that every time the clocks changed we had this strange behaviour - your project will be fine now - until the clocks change again.

There is a patch which should solve the problem here :-

later versions of VideoStudio do not suffer from this problem.

Hi Brian,
Many thanks for the reply. I am in UK same as you, so yes, my computer clock changed Saturday night (Sunday morning to be pedantic!

)
I do vaguely remember it happening once before, some time ago, but I probably put it down to newbie finger trouble then. What's the betting that it was last October??
I shall get the patch and hopefully sort it.
