menu backgrounds

Post by thequeenofoc »

This is probably a stupid question, but I just upgraded to MF6 from a WAY older version and it's frustrating when a feature is made more difficult for a user than easier in newer versions.

Everything goes normally until I reach where I choose a background layout for the splash screen. I have a jpg of the image I want to use, I do NOT want one of their premade layouts as the background. There doesn't seem to be an option to use your own, or after ten tries, I still can't find a away other than the option of "hiding" various menu images... not quite sure whether or not they'll still show up in my end result. When I do use the option I found to insert an image, it shows up BEHIND their predone images and doesn't delete it. Why there is not an option to "use my own image for menu" (or why I can't find it) I have no clue.

I am not a newbie at this, so you can image how frustrating it is that I am stuck.

Even though the following is for VideoStudio the procedure is almost identical, even with the latest version 6+

Authoring a DVD

In particular pay attention to the part half way down this bit
