Timeline Extension?

Post by Torob »

High, i've put some videos in and some audio and stuff..
but now im moving on to effects, and titles, etc.
but i cant seem to move the videos to the right side of the timeline..
i am trying to move the videos to the right side so i can fit the other stuff i need in there...
the reason i dont want to put the videos just straight in there is because it will wreck the organization of the audio and stuff...
plus i could use a black background for the title's..
when i try to move it to the right it shows a icon , a circle with a slash through it..
any idea how i can move the videos?

Nature -- and Video Studio -- abhor a vacuum!

Unless you actually drag and drop something (such as the colour matte you are thinking of, or a photo or something) into the spot immediately to the left of the first video, the video will always remain locked firmly against the left hand end of the timeline.

You cannot have an empty space before the video...

and to make sure everything else in the audio and overlay tracks also move along enable 'Ripple Editing' (read the manual) this 'locks' everything in your timeline together so that you do not lose the relationships you have set up.
