VS10 Plus Term: "Pre-Render menu"

Can someone please explain what this control is and exactly what it does?
Most important: Does it have an effect on a DVD's creation?

It is for the preview only. without it being activated you get quick but rough preview of your DVD menu which is adequate most times. There are some menus where you may wish to check the final look of the menu in more detail and so you would choose to pre-render it.

Take for example this menu that I created in MovieFactory 6+, due to the amount of stuff contained within the menu I may wish to pre-render it first.
