Green screen motion

Post by dickbalaska »

Hi ho,
I'm trying to rotate and move my chroma-keyed video along a path.
I see that in VS10 i can move and rotate in my video, and that may be enough, if i could stop the rotation at say, a 45 degree angle.

The effect i'm looking for is like the title sequence to "Everybody Loves Raymond" where Ray is sitting in the chair and his relatives all float by.
(This will be 4th grade "dentists" in a mouth)

I'm guessing this is beyond VS10, but what to use?
(I also have Final Cut Express available for this project if i'm forced)

Danke

dickbalaska...in your Every One loves Raymond example...you can video tape the relatives with the green background and hold the hand held camcorder so it moves slowly up and down to simulate a floating motion. Then insert said video shoot of the relatives as an chroma overlay (removing the green) and using the setting of inserting the clip from right to left, so they will appear to float from right to left. It is a piece of cake...

Ah yes,
I hadn't considered reversing the problem. This puts the pressure on the cameraman instead of the editor.
And it means i need a serious storyboard to work from instead of just winging it in the editor.

Merci
