Audio Hiccups

Post by TV-3PO »

I've got DVD Movie Factory 3 that came with this drive. I have been able to create DVDs just fine, but lately the audio stu-stu-stuters. Anyone out there know why? The DVD Direct works fine, but when I create the DVD using the Quicktime files from my AVID, Ill pop it into a DVD player and the audio does this little hiccup.

I don't know why, but weird things can happen when you convert between formats, especially the more compressed formats. (There may be glitches in the source-file's time-codes. :? )

Can you get MPEG-2 or AVI/DV out of your AVID system?

Any idea why all of a sudden it's happening? I used to do it like this before with QT and had no problem. Im wondering if its hard ware related. Next time I have some time to experiment, Ill export different CoDecs and see where Im at with that, but like I said, I always used a QT.

Okay, so I exported an AVI / Highest setting since it's only a :30 spot. No hiccups, looks clean, looks good. Im guessing this software doesnt like quicktimes.
