Is it possible to apply the glow effect to just one object?

I'm wanting the moving text to glow and when it passes an objest, I want the effect to be passed on to it and so on.

No joy as yet.

Since Glow is one of the Global Effects, it can only be applied to an entire scene. I've played around with it, wanting a light effect that passes from left to right or vice versa on just one item, however no can do...:(

It takes ages to do but you can achieve something similar to what you are looking for if you use the BULB under Global effects.I used the first one where the bulb travels thro. the word COOL. Ajust your object to follow the movement of the bulb.Perhaps switch the Bulb effect on and off as it moves from one object to another.
