I have been using the program for a few months and need help
trying to save my work.
Once I do a project and go to create DVD, how do I save my work
inside of this part of the program?
I want to save chapter marking and menu layout settings, music, everything
associated with the disk. When I leave or close this part of the program out,
I always get a box up telling me its saving the project. Saving it to where and why can’t I bring this project back with this menu layout I have just created?
Any help would be appreciated as I am losing this information and cannot even
hold the same background music for a menu that I chose, it always defaults back to what it was before I changed it.
Help Please! Lost here as I thought this was all kept with the .vsp of the project, I thought wrong! Help!

Yes, the 'saving project' dialog when closing the burn module is quite misleading and confuses most people to start with I think. It doesn't actually save your project at all, you still need to manually save the .vsp after closing the burn module. This should retain the menu set up etc for next time.
There are more detailed explanations if you care to search the forum, but that's the general idea.
peace.

Before you enter the authoring module (create disc) use
File | Save As
and give this new (empty) project a suitable name.
Now enter the authoring stage and when you have to quit for any reason
e.g. doorbell rings, wife nags that your dinner is ready etc, ignore the message that says "saving project" - to be honest I have no idea what it is saving at that point.
This returns you to the VideoStudio Editor Screen.
Now manually save your project (or use [ctrl] )
when you restart VideoStudio, open that saved project and again go to the authoring module (create disc) and you will find all of your work intact as you left it.
