I've got a problem that I can't find an answer to. I'm trying to burn a DVD movie made with home video captured through my DVD camera using the avi capture plug-in and firewire. (MF3.0). For some reason, no matter what I set as my project properties, the video ends up all jittery. I've had this problem before when I captured to mpg using the wrong field order, but avi capture doesn't have a field order choice that I am aware of. The files are listed as AVI type 2. I've tried using 8000 CBR, 8000 VBR, and 7000 CBR. I've tried with and without the flicker filter, which I'm not sure even applies to video.
I have made videos with MF2 using AVI and they have turned out fine. And I made one video with one AVI section that gave me problems, but I was finally able to create it with a setting that didn't cause the jittering. I've burned this project 3 times, and each time everything is jittery on the TV. (The files look fine on the computer.)
Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this? Am I going to have to recapture the whole project using mpg capture? I thought that ULead said avi capture was the best.
Also, when I ask the program to detect the field order (when capturing to mpg), it seems to choose the opposite of what is suggested for analog and digital. Is this a bug in the program or is something strange going on with my setup. (I have a Win TV analog capture card I use for analog capture.)
Thanks for any help.
