I have heard of these but I have no experience with them.

Could such a card be programmed to record the same way my Tivo unit
works? This would solve a lot of connection and cabling problems here if it could. Can you provide me with more information on how they work or a possible link to get more information?

The ones that I have seen for sale don offer much information in the matter
of hook-up, does the card have on board memory, will it work; like in my case with a satellite dish? Any extra help would be appreciated and thank you for your time and response.

First of all, you should reply in your original post, not start a new topic. I haven't got the time to now look for what your previous post was all about. Please don't take this as an insult or an attempt to put you down, that's not my intention, just a hint at proper operation on this board

I seem to remember your original post and what m answer was. Sorry, but I cannot be of any help with this since I do not use my PC to record TV broadcasts. I usually stay away from my TV, except for the news, because of the crap that's on Certainly wouldn't want to record any of it.

There are, however, a number of people on this board who do uese these cards. I'm sure someone knowledgeable will soon come to your aid.
