hi I just upgraded to MF 6 plus, to capture videos from my canon HV10, but its not working, capture is choppy and useless, i was able to capture video to movie maker on vista, which looks great in its original capture except that when I'm done editing and processing to HD-WMV format it seem to be loosing some quality, figured using ulead will help me get better picture quality, but its not working altogether, seems like i just wasted 50 bucks. please advice, and when i turn the cam on to capture, it shows these settings
Source = HDV
Format= MPEG
cant select any other options in format. dose this seem normal?
Thanks.
my system is
cpu core 2 duo 6400
Gpu 1900xtx 512mb
Ram CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
HV10 wont work with MF 6 PLUS
Interesting, I would think the Canon HDV unit should work.
Noticed that MF6+ says the Sony HC1 & HC3 were tested.
Maybe try this program to capture the native video from the tape & import them into MF. Many people with HDV cams use this program to capture with and then import the videos into their editing software.

Note:
Follow up on this post. When trying to insert the .m2t files in MF6+ I receive an error "File Not Accessible".
MovieFactory 5 so I thought would convert the file to mpg PS format.
So I just used VS10+ to convert the files to mpg PS format.
I'll have to ask tech support about this. MF6 should convert them from TS to PS format.
