Bought and downloaded The MF6 Plus from your site about a week ago and the download procedures are sort of confusing , my understanding of the E-mail instructions per the E-Mail are as follows:
There are 6 instructions stating on each part the following:
1.Downloading the full version (Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus Part 1
2.Downloading the full version (Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus Part 2
And so on until the E-mail states at the end
6.Downloading the full version (Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus Part 6
Is my understanding that each portion 1-6 had to be downloaded separately? If that is the case as I understood it, why does each section state Downloading the full version, shouldn¡¦t it state.
1.Downloading the full version (Ulead DVD Movie Factory 6 Plus, part 1 of 6 and so on.
How can we be downloading the full version of MF6 on each step?
On top of that it appears that the software is not working correctly, unable to open saved files captured by Ulead, the displays are grayed out, therefore not working correctly.
Have tried your suggestions on how to fix the software, to no avail perhaps should delete the software from my system and re download each particular step?? It would have been easier if it was just one huge file, then the files extension where in .rar format. more confusing.
Should have waited for the box version with the book manual instead.
Great program MF3 that one worked right from get go.
MF6 Plus, software & HD-DVD instructions sort of confusi
Ralph,
The full download requires all 6 links. Download all these files into one directory on the computer. It's a large program so they break up the distros.
Clicking on the 1st executable download will built all the files into the directory you assign. This appears to be a mirror of the retail CD.
So, backing up all the downloads & your license key to a CD/DVD is suggested since it's a ESD distributed program.
I backed up the downloads and the mirrored directory that the installation prccess creates.
If you having problems, do you have any other ulead software installed or any previous ulead software installed that was removed.

Did you purchase the upgrade or the full version.
The upgrade in order to install would require the 3.5 version to be installed.
E-mail me if you want to try something with the installation.
Not sure about posting anything here yet because I don't know if it's related.
But my install works fine after using my own method to install when other ulead products are also installed.

Ralph,
You could have conflicts or a bad installation.
Saving the file? Do you mean saving an mpeg2 video file or saving a project file?
You state the edit icon is greyed out. That depends on the video that's on the timeline, you must highlight the video of course.
To view the videos properties on the timeline you can use the "I" icon on the left of the timeline for the information.
What type videos are you trying to load into MF6? Do you know the format and where they originated?

Believe your capture is a DV tape camera.
Make sure to use a firewire cable to connect the cam to the computer.
In the capture module your cam should be displayed for capturing in the device box (at the top).
Change the format box to AVI and capture DV straight from the camcorder.
You then convert the DV to mpeg2 dvd compliant video.
In the Format Box if you Select MPEG you can try that method. The program will convert the dv video to mpeg on the fly. Some computers that are not fast enough to perform on the fly conversion will skip frames.
Best method is to capture type dv.avi and convert the mpeg2.
Sounds like you have been trying to insert a project file.
