If you registered with Ulead, sign-in here and you can see your serial number(s).

If you purchased the CD version, it's on the CD sleeve.

Your video card is not used, except to see what you are doing, or to play the video.... A better video card won't make better DVDs. (Unless you are talking about a video capture card, used to for analog video input.)

Do you get any sound from you soundcard (with other programs)? Again, the soundcard is not used except for you to listen-to and to play back the sound. If you are having a problem with Video Studio's sound, it usually has something to do with your Audio/Video file format.

If you are not hearing any sounds at all, it's usually a missing driver, and you may need to re-install the drivers/software that came with your soundcard (or motherboard if you have a soundchip on your motherboard).

Roy

I found the sleeve and entered it it was the right one

BUT now it is telleing me my vid capture driver is not present.

Man I thought I could go to store buy a computer and plug it in --- add some softward and programs and have no problems

I just got off the phone with gateway and they said they will be sending me a new restore dic they think the one I have is BAD/

I am hoping it is that and that ALL I will have to do is the restore and I will have everything working - Sound - Videos - I made some vids on the computer where I was living @ but That situation has changed and I was not able to take the computer with me

The vids are found if you search Utube for cape coral bomb shelter -- then just look at the users 'other vids"

Thanks ALL for your help

Wish Me luck

I have some great vids that I will be putting on the web to @ my websites @ "FREE gifts for any soldiers"

Before you use that GATEWAY restore disc, be advised it will wipe your computer clean and then install the original progams.
What you will end up with is a computer in the same state it was in when first purchased. make sure you back everything up otherwise you will lose your photographs, videos, music, spreadsheets, emails etc. etc.

Take a look at this link:
Lost Serial Numbers and Software.

Thank you all for your help.

I am having someone come over ( for 85.00 an hour ) and show me how to keep this PC running.

I know how to make my own webpages and write html BUT these new fangled "puerizing machines" just have me baffled.

I hope that will solve any future problems too.
