Transitions and Menus

Does anyone know where you can get extra transition and menu templates for VS8? I got some from a site www.burgers-transitions-site.de
Is there any other place that anyone know of to get some free?
Thanks

Burger Transitions

You may not be aware of this, but on most of the Burger transitions, if you press the Customize icon, you will be able to come up with four or five different transitions.

Example, when using the CUBOID effect, press the customize button. At the bottom, under presets, experiment with 'Wierd Slices', 'High Fly', or 'Hannes 2'.

Try any and all. You can always go back to the Default setting.

Have fun.

Transitions

I am using VS8 and have the burger transitions in it. I see no customize icon anywhere is VS8. I pulled up the transition list in VS8, and looked around and not sure what you are refering to. I also checked burger's site and I see nothing there in regard to customizing.

I see the customize now. Is there a way that I can see the different changes without having to enter pictures in the timeline. Cause every time that I change one in the timeline, it renders.

You can view the transition effect from the library, but this does not view the clip only the effect.

Change your playback settings:-

File / preferences / Playback method to Instant Playback

Unfortunately the playback may be a little jerky, but give it a try.

They are a selection of extra, and free, transitions that someone has made up. They fit seamlessly into VS 7 and 8, and just give you a few extra choices. I used the Dream one to good effect in one of my projects :)

I've downloaded several transitions from the referred site, but unable to successfully seem it into VS8.

How can I enage these transitions into the programme?

Also, I am unable to implement a smooth fade transition using VS8. This is the single feature I like of Windows Movie Maker - a fade transition that blends over a set period of time. Is this feature available on Ulead VS8?

I don't know about the Burger transitions, but as for the fade transition -- by the sounds of it you are after the cross fade transition (fades out one scene and fades in the next). That is in the full version of Video Studio -- not the SE versions. It can be found in the F/X folder of Transitions. And you can set the duration for whatever period you like -- either the default period you set in Preferences; or else a different duration manually chosen for each transition.

burger transition installation instruictions can be found on the burger site

http://www.burgers-transition-site.de/d ... ation.html

Once installed the burger transitions can be found in the effects library, in a 'burger page'

Cross fade is one of burgers transitions.
I have not used them on a movie as yet but viewed to see if they were ok.

transition 12 ???? froze VS 8 ?????????? i deleted it.
