Time display in WinDVD 5

Post by rmcurtis »

I have WinDVD 5 installed on 2 machines, and they both show the same behavior. Clicking on the time display does nothing. The help states:
"Click the time to cycle through the settings: the amount of time that has elapsed since the movie started, the amount of time that has elapsed since the chapter started, and the time remaining in the movie. "

I want to see time remaining in the movie, and I cannot figure out how to change the display from elapsed time. I have tried clicking all over the time counter, and I can't get it to change.

What am I doing wrong??

Bump this. I'm having the exact same problem with WinDVD 4.0 on my XP machine.

The following is taken from WinDVD 7 (I do not have previous versions)
and it does not indicate that any of these displays can be changed.

Viewing OSD Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The information button in the upper right corner above the toolbar displays on-screen information about the disc or media file being played back. Click the button anytime during playback to display the following information on the viewing window:
  • Playback time and total time
  • Chapter and title
  • Aspect ratio
  • Resolution
  • Audio and video type
  • Audio and video bitrates
Therefore this information would seem to be fixed and not open to modification.
