Wireless Transmittion of Video/Audio Signals

Post by n3vpc »

I guess this would come under the heading of
“Does This Really Work” type of question.

Some time ago I had made an inquiry about a
Wireless link or sender to be hooked from a TV to a
Video Card at the computer for direct upload to a computer’s
hardrive. At that time I was provided a link to
http://www.x10.com/products4/google/wir ... er_nv.html.

This piece of equipment consisting of a sender (at TV) to a receiver (hook into a computer’s video capture card) by RCA jacks.

Contacting the manufacture, I was assured that this unit will work as advertised with a computer, provided it has the necessary Capture Card.
(They always say that).

Of course, my great concern here would be the obvious. “What is the quality of the transmitted audio and video signal”?

If there is anyone on list that has used or is using this product or has a friend that is using it, I would be most interested in his or her comments or thoughts on it. For me to do this with standard cabling would mean about 30 feet of RCA running through the house with no way of hiding it.

Grateful for any comments offered,

Bill

I would rather put a TV tuner card into my PC and connect an areal.
