Hi, I'm using DVD Movie Factory 5 that came with my new Vista Toshiba Laptop. It says it's version 5.51.0018.0 SE001.
We created our first DVD using the pretty sun flower template and selecting the old movie film look for the chapter icons. On the laptop it looks and runs fine when we preview it within Movie Factory.
When we burn it to a DVD and play it either on our set top box or as a DVD through windows media player we find that the highlights for all thumbnails and buttons are about an inch above the thumbnail or button. It does this in all menus on the disk.
I dont know if this is a fault with that particular template or if they are all like it. I didnt want to waste any disks finding out.
I tried downloading service pack 1 for DVDMF5 but it says it cant find it on my laptop.
Any help would be greatly apprecieated.
Need help with menu highlights

I tried making another dvd using a different template. The highlights worked properley on the thumbnails of one menu but the play and next buttons still did the same as before. On another menu the highlight had changed to some obscure purple colour that you could barley see. This isnt our fault as DVDMF5 doesnt allow you to modify the highlights. The highlights on the play and next buttons was also still an inch above the actual buttons.
This software is a load of rubbish. Glad it came with my pc and I didnt pay for it. I'd be demanding my money back for such a buggy program.

On the Contrary...
I am running WinXP MCE and have had the very same issue, therefore, not necessarily a Vista issue.
For those of us who just barely bought DVDMFP 5.0 and cannot afford another $50 to upgrade this is what I figured out:
Solution:
The only thing I could find that can solve the issue is to start the project over, which can be quite a pain if you have a lot of videos, but it does reset the highlights to be paired with the words.
Possible Causes:
It seems to me that the highlights are following where the template thinks they should be and are not following the text when it moved (possible bug?). My problem only started after opening a saved project and/or opening the "Customize..." option and changing things.
