Rotating a Picture through 90 degress

Post by wywso0 »

For reasons that are too complex to even start to explain here, I have some video that was shot with the camera held on its side. I'd like to rotate the picture through 90 degrees but without distorting it. I know I'll have to lose of the picture due to cropping but with luck something usable might be saved.

Is it possible to do this in VS10+? I know I could use the distortion filter but I don't think there is any way to lock the corners so that I get a true rotation without other distortion.

Grateful for you help.

with the clip selected in the timelime, select the Video tab and click on one of the two round arrows marked "90" depending on the direction you need.

You may need to use the distort fucntion after to get to the size you wish or just use Fit to Project or Keep Ratio...
This my understanding of it.

wywso0, download program below, it is free. Do all of your editing, including rotation and then insert your photos into VS10.

The rotate button would work for stills also :) :D
