A few days ago, I found an old version of MovieFactory 5 that I had never installed. So I did so I could compare it to my present and usual authoring software. It took over an hour to create the DVD folder when my usual tool takes about 30 minutes so I figure I would remove it. I did.
Re-opened my usual tool (TEMPGEnc DVD) to recompile the dvd I was working on. Surprise...it no longer imports the audio!
So I restored my computer and now MovieFactory is back but of course won't start as the laucher can't handle it. Tried deleting it through the control panel again, but now it can't find the uninstaller.
I figured I would give MovieFactory6 a try and maybe it could solve my problem, but since it recognizes the previous version, the installer expects me to remove version 5 first, which I can't.
I'm basically going around in circles and don't know what to do anymore. At this point I will need to buy a new software, but until I can find a solution there is no point.
Can someone please help? I don't want to simply delete everything manually as there is always something left behind that damages your computer. Thanks
