Is there a way to make your own Video Filters for VideoStudio 10 plus?

I have downloaded the Ulead Video Editing Software Development Kits,
Video Filter Plug-in but I don't know how to use it. The instructions (a word document that came with it, its all Greek to me. I got a "sample" directory with 9 files in it and i don't know what to do about them?
All I want is to be able to color correct a video I took (by applying a video filter to the video) so it will much to the same video I took from another camera from a different angle.
