Ulead Video Studio 7 - Load from stream error

Post by whylite »

Everytime I open Ulead video studio 7 I get this load from stream error. The error pops up twice and then a white box appears in the video folder. I cannot select this box or I get the same error again. I have tried reinstalling the program but I still get the problem. The program worked great a while ago and executed without errors. :( any help would be much appreciatted.

It appears that VideoStudio is looking for a missing or corrupt video file.
Back up the following files and then delete them:

VS_Image.dat
VS_Video.dat
VS_Audio.dat
VS_Title.dat
VS_Flash.dat

etc

C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\7.0

If you delete these files and restart VideoStudio it should recreate them.
If this fails to work you can restore the files you prviously back up.

I noticed that you gave this same reply to someone else and tried it as well. The only thing is the vs_Flash.dat doesn't exist so I couldn't delete it. When I reopened the program it didn't recreate it. I am wondering if that is why I am having the problem. I made a new user profile on my computer and VideoStudio works flawless. I am going to take a look and see if these five files exist in this profile.

Well I was able to figure it out. What I ended up doing in the end was I had the program installed on another computer. It worked fine on this computer so I copied the 7.0 folder from the good computer overtop of the 7.0 folder in the computer the program didn't work.

C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\7.0

Problem solved thanks for the help.
