i need help please.
Hi everyone. I have recently bought a dvd movie maker kit and am having loads of trouble trying to use it. It is a Kworld kit using MovieFactory 4 se. The problem i have now is that I can download the video but can not get the audio to go with it. I have tried setting the advanced options for all the different input sources but am having no joy. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Cheers Chris
I'm not familiar with the Kworld Kit.
How does the audio get connected from your source device into this Kworld device. Or are you recording directly from a TV channel.
Usually you have to pick the correct Port to record on. Windows has 2 screens for it's audio mixer, playback & record. You may have to go into the windows mixer screen, select "Options" -> "Properties" to get a view of the recording mixer. It's in that recording mixer you assign the correct port for recording.
Then in MF you also assign the same port to record the audio on.
Can you hear the audio while recording?

Check that you have selected the correct audio input source in the Windows Volume Control Recording Panel.

Thanks again for all you help, but I am still in a bit of a pickle. I am trying to get the audio from my video camera. There is a USB connection and an input Jack. Where should the input jack be getting plugged into? At the moment i have it plugged in to the line in jack on the back of the computer but it is still not getting audio to the capture. I really do appreciate your help.
I don't know your setup but I do know that the biggest complants & issues have been running programs certified for XP on Vista that NO AUDIO is the biggest complaint.
So it's quite possilbe your doing everything right, but can't work running Vista.
You probably have to contact Kworld and get the Vista drivers for your hardware device.
Then use a software program that's certified for Vista to work with your video such as VS10+ or MovieFactory 6 or VS11 when it's released.

Does your camcorder have an IEEE1394 (Firewire) connection.grooveyguru1 wrote:Thanks again for all you help, but I am still in a bit of a pickle. I am trying to get the audio from my video camera. It is strongly recommended that you connect with firewire rather than USB.
