What's the deal with a .vob file. Where do these come from?
I found a music video off the net and I find the quality is real good but it's hard to play it. What video player would you suggest?
Also I noticed it doesn't even load into msp8.0. I was thinking about just transfering it into an mpeg.
What programe should i use to transfer to mpeg. Would Super work?

A VOb file is the DVD container for the mpeg2 file but it needs information from the BUB and IFO files to tell the DVD player what to do with it.
You can try renaming it to mpg and put it straight on the time line in MSP. Usually works but if not surf the net for VOB to mpeg utilities. I'm sure you will find many.

Hey Heinz, Tried to rename the file and throw it in but it didn't work. I also tried numerous programs to try and transfer the vob to mpeg. What would you suggest for me to try?heinz-oz wrote:A VOb file is the DVD container for the mpeg2 file but it needs information from the BUB and IFO files to tell the DVD player what to do with it.

How are you trying to load it into MSP? Are you just trying to Insert Video, or using MSP Video Capture? In Video Capture, go to Setup>Import DVD Plug-in, and it should show Import DVD Capture Driver Version 1.0. Then go to Capture>Capture Video, make necessary changes, such as the drive/folder where you want to capture to, durations, etc., then click OK. A browse window should open, where you navigate to your DVD drive or the location on system that has the Video_TS folder. Select the Video_TS folder, then after a brief pause, the Import DVD dialog will appear. Select the titles/chapters and import..
