Hi
I installed, activated and ran WinDVD8 Gold successfully on Windows Vista Business. I downloaded the WinDVD8 patch for Vista, but when I run it, it complains about an invalid version of WinDVD.
Any ideas?
Thanx

Vista update patch for WinDVD 8? Where did you get that?
As I know, WinDVD 8 is already Vista compatible and you do not need any Vista update patch for it....
Check http://www.intervideo.com/WinDVD/WinDVD ... quirements for more information. Vista is already been listed as supported platform for WinDVD 8.
UPDATE: Now I see what you mean. You get the patch from the following link?
http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Faq.jsp?product=WinDVD
Scroll down to the bottom and there is a Vista update patch for WinDVD 8. I could see it states it will update your WinDVD 8 to 8.0.6.104.
Right clicks on the video window and select Options->Information, what WinDVD version do you see? If your WinDVD version is not 8.B06.0.x, you might not be able to install that update patch.
If your WinDVD version is 8.B08.0.x, then it's a OEM bundle version which comes with your system and you do not need to install that update patch.
Hope this helps.
