Do you need a decoder for HDDVD/Blu-ray playback
Do you need a HDDVD/Blu-Ray drive inorder for that software to work? I read that you can get a HDDVD/Blu-ray decoder? Will High Definition DVD's work on my regular DVD drive?

Hi, welcome to the forum.
For commercial HD DVD or Blu-ray titles, no you still need a HD DVD or Blu-ray drive.
If you would like to burn your video in both HD DVD/Blu-ray formats, you can try Ulead DVD MovieFactory.

Yes. However, it seems InterVideo has not released the HD DVD / Blu-ray add-on packs for its retail products yet. The only way to own a WinDVD HD or WinDVD BD now is to buy a PC that comes with a HD DVD or BD drive.virginia72585 wrote:I read that you can get a HDDVD/Blu-ray decoder?
If you burn your own DVDs in UDF 2.5 (for HD DVD format) or UDF 2.6 (for Blu-ray format), then yes.virginia72585 wrote:Will High Definition DVD's work on my regular DVD drive?
