BURNING DVD IN 16/9 FORMAT

Post by Joseph SOMJA »

Hello.I'm a newcomer and I have the following problem:I do not succeed
in burning a dvd in 16/9 format.
I have filmed in 16/9.Before capturing I selected 16/9 and before burning
after I edited and added music and comments ,I select again 16/9.When
I check the result of my work before burning ("aperçu" in french) the
following occurs
on my monitor : the video is in 4/3
on a 16/9 lcd tv directly connected on my computer:the video is in 16/9
but the picture occupies only half of the screen surface.
After burning the dvd , the picture is always in 4/3,whatever the equipment I use to read the dvd (computer, home cinema or dvd reader)
(tv16/9 lcd 23" or37")Whatever I set on the equipments :16/9,16/9 auto,
large, panorama) the picture remains in 4/3 What can I try?
NB. When I play dvd's previously edited and burned in 4/3 I get a 16/9
picture on my tv's by simply choosing the 16/9 auto display mode
.

Hi fzhu4139 / Joseph SOMJA

Please see this link, it explains how a 16:9 should look when using Video Studio.
