Is it possible to import multi projects? As at the present moment I have 1 STU file which controls 3 'one hour' long .AVI files in edit mode, and of course the more you do in edit (add titles, music, cuts, etc) the slower the response time becomes (certainly on my machine) I aim for 10/15 mins out of 1 hour filming. I know I could produce a combined .AVI file as I progress but I would lose all of my existing clips that invariably I would (knowing my luck!) need to have recourse to use, and there is the question of LOSSY to be considered or is the degradation over emphasised? as never having studied this problem I dont don't know a great deal about it. If it is not as bad, then In that case I could edit the files individually, create new .AVI files then import them and produce a combined product
It could be that I am tackling this problem from the 'wrong end' and that there is a 'work-aroud' that I know Zilch about
Any offers of help will be greatly appreciated
cheers

When you save a project it is saved as a vsp file (Video Studio Project). You can, in fact, import a vsp into the timeline of another project via the Insert Media Files Into Timeline button above the timeline.
Is that what you mean?
Is that what you mean?

thanks jeff
I did of course mean.vsp but I had just come of Pinnacle (where I was trying to see if I could import their 'Dissolve' effect and was a little punchy
Going back in time, I hauled in the individual .avi files, worked on them then 'saved as' (Sydneycombined for example ).vsp. If I read you right could I have 'Rough-cut (or Whatever) the individual files and then in a final stage inserted them(the .vsp files) into the time line? I can see the merit in this, as the smaller amount of instructions in the individual .vsp's would not slow the process down in the manner I am experiencingin the combined mode. Have I got it right.

Yes. For example I was recently working on a project in which I had my clips in the main timeline. I then imported a vsp (a project I had previously edited and saved) into one of my overlay tracks. Just note that you can't edit a vsp that you import into another project.
