Hi All -
I hope I'm just not finding this somewhere obvious but here's the situation...
I took the plunge and shot a bunch of video in 16:9 on my Hitachi camcorder over the weekend. With previous 4:3 stuff I simple took my mini-dvd and put in the computer's DVD RAM drive, captured and everything worked great.
Now I'm trying to capture/import the 16:9 stuff from the camcorder disk and I can only get 704x480 in the DVD Capture Plug-In settings. Everything I should have to set this differently is greyed out.
Am I missing something?
Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
Capture DVD RAM Video in 720x480?
All SD video is that resolution (DVD tends to be 704, DV sometimes 720)...
it's the aspect ratio, not resolution, that counts.
16:9 SD video is anamorphic in effect.
What you need to verify is that video aspect ratio is 16:9 in video properties, after capturing, not the resolution. (If not, it should still work, but some DVD players might not correctly reformat the video on 4:3 TVs.)
Are the DVD capture settings otherwise the same as before for 4:3?
