Phooey, unable to reopen MF6 to edit my video

Post by zapper »

have the MF3 and never had a problem now that I downloaded the MF6 and capture to mpeg, unable to open up the new Ulead product ( MF6 ) to be able to edit and see how it works.

I guess that it does not work, not even able to open the software.

Any suggestions, before I just dump this useless software, it sure does not work like the good ol MF3 Disc Creator.

First try running the installation progam again and you will find a repair option.
If that fails then try a fresh clean installation as shown here:

Tried your suggestions to no avail, it seems like a hit and miss with the MF6., once a tape is loaded to the software and close it after saving it, unable to open the program.

I must be the Jinks in this forum  , had to use another brand of DVD authoring software to get a DVD of my grandaughter and burn it to disc.

Should had waited for the Box instead of the download route.

I am still unable to open a AVI file that was capture by MF6, have tried everything except to redownload the program.

Mf6 won't let me edit or it tells me unable to open a AVI file? or anything else???? :o

First you tell us you captured to mpeg now you refer to AVI. What exactly did you capture and what settings did you use? If you capture mpeg, your file extension should be mpeg not AVI. Most PC's have a hard time keeping track when capturing to mpeg2 for DVD. The only mpeg I know with an avi file extension is mpeg4 or it's different flavours, DivX, Xvid etc.

If you captured to one of these, chances are your file is corrupt and, hence, cannot be opened by MF6.

Well tried another home movie with ulead, capture it to Mpeg, and it shows as a .dwz file and when I open it to ulead it loads it and then nothing light up on the screen to edit it or to do anything to it. I did capture a scene as a picture and that did showed up.

For some reason or another unable to open up the entire Ulead project all of the, the following Edit room, multi trim video, etc is grayed out unable to open it.

What could be wrong, this is my second home movie that I have tried with Ulead MF6, tommorrow will try MF3 and see what happens, if anything.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated have tried just about everything, and ONLY HAVE A FEW HAIRS LEFT ON MY SCALP LEFT.
