Post by fosius »

Hi all, I have a question. I have just created DVDs using "PAL DVD 4:3" and "same as project settings" formats. When I play these DVDs on my PC everything is ok, but when i try to play it in DVD players video is freezing.. WHY?? I have Studio 10... Thanks in advance..

Nobody has ever experienced this problem? Do you have any advice?

I think everyone, almost everyone, has experienced this. It's called media incompatibility. Not every DVD player likes all media. Some play -R/RW, others play +R/RW, some don't play any burned media, other dislike + or -RW. take your pick. Certain media brands may also cause this. Your DVD player may play one brand that another doesn't, the list is endless..

Almost forgot, some people have also experienced this kind of thing with disks burned at high speeds >4x. If you search this forum, you will find lots of posts to that effect.

To my mind, Heinz has hit the spot.

The problem you are experiencing is common and often caused by the media used with the burner you have.

And again, if you burn at too high a speed, that will lessen the possibility of compatbility...
